SouthBound's love and commitment to our fans and Country music have been a driving force which has helped create a thriving Long Island Country scene.
In addition to headlining Festivals and drawing huge crowds on its own, SouthBound has opened for many famous acts. Wowing crowds for over a decade, this four piece tour de force captivates and enthralls crowds with their showmanship, talent and positive energy.
Playing hit after hit as well as crowd pleasing songs from their Guitars and Boots CD, SouthBound consistently delivers the kind of top notch performance that makes large crowds want to dance and sing along. SouthBound works hard to please everyone. In fact, many a non-country fan who happened to be at the band’s shows has said “I don’t like Country but I like SouthBound”.
The impeccable vocals and blistering guitar playing of the charismatic front-man Lou Lomangino coupled with the talented and dynamic musicianship of the multi-instrumentalist Michael DeLuca (Pedal Steel, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, and Dobro) create a sonic tapestry on top of the powerful bass playing of Peter Kiernan. Joey Pohoto, SouthBound's solid timekeeper weaves it all together with his spot on background vocals and delicate yet thunderous drumming.
SouthBound has created it's success the old fashioned way-constantly performing and energizing crowds, getting to know the fans, many of whom have become friends along the way, and continuously working hard to improve what they do so as to keep expanding and growing. With over 1000 shows under their belt in the last 10 years, it's easy to understand why the local Country radio station calls them the "hardest working and best Country band on Long Island".
In addition to their new & old country songs mixed with some southern-rock/classic-rock. SouthBound has a 90 minute country music tribute to America.
